A pair of vintage lapis lazuli and sterling silver earrings. Southwestern USA, possibly Navajo, but unsigned. Oval lapis lazuli cabochons in bezel settings with solid backs. Each stamped 925, the included backings are replacements.
Each approximately 7/16" x 1/2".
Total weight is 2.8 grams which does not include the backings.
Excellent condition with appropriate patina and minor bends to the posts. Irregularities which are commonly found in natural stone may be present. Any small imperfections, scratches or tool marks in the metal are characteristic of handmade as well as vintage pre-owned jewelry.
Lines or spots in the photos, other than described, are reflections of lighting fixtures or surrounding objects.
A note about polishing - As collectors of vintage and antique items often value the time imparted patina on metal surfaces, we will leave it to you to decide its appearance. We may lightly polish an area of a piece if tarnish conceals metal purity or makers' marks.
